In order to complete the process of updating your multimedia and audio system, we recommend having these on hand to ensure you are downloading the correct firmware for your vehicle.
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) (Optional)
- Vehicles with Entune: Part Number
- Vehicles without Entune: Face Plate Number
- A blank USB 2.0 flash drive with a storage capacity of 2GB to 8GB, formatted as FAT16 or FAT32 (details provided later in Firmware Download Instructions)
Next, click HERE to complete the 3 step process on Toyotas website to complete the update.
The first step in this process can be done in two ways. The first is entering the model and year of your vehicle. The second way you could complete the first step is entering your VIN.
At the next step to ensure that you have the correct firmware, you will be asked to enter a faceplate ID number or a part number. Once you enter the information, you will be notified that your vehicle has an update available or not.
If your vehicle has an update available, you will be provided with three separate documents. The first is download instructions, the second is installation instructions and the last is firmware version details.
